Ministries promoting spiritual growth, community engagement, and addressing the needs of church members and the wider community.
Pastoral Care
Our church is dedicated to providing care for both our members and the community at large. We invite anyone in need to request visitation from our pastor, which may include receiving Holy Communion.
Pastoral care is available for any concerns, prayer requests, or private confessions, whether during hospital or home visits. All confidential conversations with the pastor are conducted in accordance with the strict guidelines set by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
For assistance, please reach out to the church office at (757) 464-4315. In cases of emergency pastoral care, Pastor Lucas can be contacted directly on his cell phone at (757) 504-4223.
If you or a loved one would like to be added to the prayer list, please contact the church office. Your well-being is important to us, and we are here to support you.
Social Ministry
The Social Ministry Committee is dedicated to addressing the needs and concerns of individuals within our congregation and the broader local and global community.
Members engage in holiday projects such as The Salvation Army Christmas stockings collection, support local charities, and assist the food supplemental program from the city of Virginia Beach.
We also support missions in Africa and other underdeveloped regions, broadening our impact beyond local efforts.
To enhance our efforts, we collaborate with organizations like Thrivent to provide Christmas and Thanksgiving meals to families in need.
Our mission is to uplift and support those around us.
Lead is Cheryl Wolfe.
Seniors
Our vibrant Seniors group welcomes everyone who wants to be part of an active community that thrives on companionship and the joy of supporting and looking out for one another.
Each month, we gather for engaging lunches, where members can socialize and connect over delicious meals. These gatherings foster friendships and create an atmosphere where everyone feels at home.
During our meetings, we invite guest speakers who share insights and knowledge on various subjects, ensuring there is always something new to discover. These sessions provide valuable opportunities for learning and growth, enriching our community further.
All are welcome to join the Seniors group to celebrate life, continue to grow in faith together, and enjoy the camaraderie this group offers.
Congregational
We are truly blessed to have dedicated members and volunteers in our congregation who actively support various committees within our Church. Their commitment ensures that our operations run smoothly and that our doors remain open to all. It is their love for both the community and God that fosters unity among us, enabling our Church to thrive in its mission to serve.
