Pastor Lucas Cochran
Pastor Lucas Cochran grew up in Annandale northern Virginia, where he attended Annandale High School. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts and met his wife, Wendy. Pastor Lucas attended Union Presbyterian Seminary for two years before transferring to United Lutheran Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, where he received his Master's degree in Divinity. He is now serving at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in lovely Virginia Beach with his wife, their two dogs, and a host of hopes and dreams for the future of the Church.
In his personal life, Pastor Lucas enjoys playing video games, reading fantasy books, building models, and has a large collection of board games. He and Wendy share a love for Latin dance music. Don’t be surprised if you see them cutting a rug with other dance enthusiasts in the community.
Pastor Lucas’ style of ministry reflects his personality; he likes to have fun with his congregants and establish a friendly connection with them, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable approaching him at any time—whether that is after worship on a Sunday, gathered around the game table, or on the dance floor.
Pastor Lucas aims to live his life reflecting his faith in the world, demonstrating that, just as we are saved by God’s grace, everyone is a regular person capable of making mistakes. He believes that God is with us not only in Church but in every aspect of our lives.
