Letter from Pastor Lucas Cochran.
Thank you everyone who attended Vacation Bible School this summer. All of us here were super excited to see the turn out and level of energy that everyone who attended brought. We had a total of six kids attend VBS and we had loads of volunteers who without their help this would not have been a success so thank you everyone who helped out.
We had a blast throughout the week learning about animals that lived in Africa and their mannerism. We also had a great time each day at the beginning of our classes doing a scavenger hunt to discover what our animal and theme of the day were for VBS. All of our kids had a great time learning about animals, scripture, and God’s love for the world. We had multiple events to help facilitate this like a super creative art class, music classes where the children also learned sign language, story time where the kids got to perform out a new story that Pastor Lucas created for them every day, and all the kids got time to burn off their excess energy outside during PE and science time.
All of our children who attended VBS this year were a none stop bundle of joy and excitement that were eager to learn about God and African animals. From the moment they entered the doors till the minute they left it was none stop fun for everyone in attendance, not just the kids. All of our parents even got involved in the activities, and a good time was had by all.
We here at Our Saviour Lutheran Church understand that every age group learns differently, and we had a great time focusing on the kids and making them the priority for the week. Laughs were had by all, an amazing dinner devoured at the beginning of every day, and ice cream was used to celebrate the finishing of VBS. Thank you again everyone who attend VBS this year at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, we appreciate all the support we received, and we cannot wait until next summer to do it all over again.
Pastor Lucas.
